What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a fintech/technology role where I can own GDPR and regulatory compliance, lead DPO-style privacy governance, manage complex contracts, and partner cross-functionally to reduce risk—ideally across EU and African markets.

I’m a commercial/compliance Legal Counsel and Data Protection Specialist with over 8 years of experience advising tech companies, startups, and multinational organizations on data protection, fintech regulation, cross-border compliance, and technology contracts. I focus on translating complex regulatory frameworks into practical legal solutions that keep businesses moving with confidence.

Most recently at Keyrus SA, I led a GDPR compliance programme for multiple data controllers and processors by establishing and maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), achieving full regulatory alignment with Articles 30 and 32 of the GDPR across business units. I also supported privacy-by-design by coordinating cross-functional work, supervising 100+ Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and privacy complaints within statutory timelines, and delivering GDPR training that raised staff compliance awareness.

In my current role as Head of Legal/Compliance at Jeroid Limited, I advise the CEO and senior management on corporate governance, commercial transactions, and strategic initiatives, while drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and compliance documentation. I monitor regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions, lead legal due diligence for partnerships/investments/acquisitions and vendor engagements, manage disputes and investigations, and support data protection and privacy compliance by reviewing policies, agreements, and operational processes.

Earlier in Nigeria, I worked across corporate/commercial, data protection, and dispute resolution, helping clients meet regulatory obligations such as NDPR compliance for 5+ corporate clients and advising on Central Bank of Nigeria Open Banking Regulation. I’ve also supported major regulatory and enforcement outcomes, including helping implement the EU AI Act across Keyrus business operations and acting as External Counsel to AMCON, contributing to successful non-performing loan recovery (over 500 million naira).
