Nikos Xeras

I am a Mechanical Engineer with an MS in Production Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Crete, with extensive experience in the defense industry focused on F-16 lifecycle management, quality assurance, and aircraft engineering. I have progressed from hands-on Quality Assurance Officer roles to senior leadership positions overseeing maintenance and support at wing level.

Across command roles including Chief Engineer of 340 Squadron, Commander of Maintenance Base Squadron, Commander of 115 Combat Wing/Maintenance Squadron, and Director of Support of 115 Combat Wing, I led teams up to ~900 personnel and managed intermediate maintenance for 40 F-16 Block 52+/Viper aircraft and F100-PW-229 engines, improving performance indicators through attention to detail and process focus.

I also have five years full-time experience as a Contract Administrator, participating in high-value negotiations (G2G, B2G, offset contracts) with major international defense companies and monitoring large air and naval procurements. I deliver disciplined program and contract oversight, strong stakeholder communication, and results under pressure.
