Nick Koumaris
@nickkoumaris
I'm a software engineer and educator transitioning into GRC, SOC, and cybersecurity analyst roles.
What I'm looking for
I've spent 13+ years building technical products, including an Arduino-based game that reached 8 million downloads worldwide.
At educ8s.com, I've worked as a Software Engineer since 2013, with experience in Kotlin, Android development, and information security. I also built educ8s.tv into a large Arduino-focused YouTube channel with 130,000 subscribers, teaching programming and electronics to a global audience.
Through Programming with Nick, I create practical, beginner-friendly programming tutorials and break complex concepts into accessible lessons.
I'm now applying my software, embedded systems, and secure communications background to cybersecurity, with a focus on GRC, risk management, security operations, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF. My MSc thesis involved a secure C# chat application using an FPGA with hardware-based cryptographic algorithms and real-time algorithm switching.
