Nawaf Al Lawati

I joined Vodafone Oman as a contractor with PhazeRo, a digital consultancy. I have worked on a variety of projects, focused mostly on frontend development (mobile and web). Projects include eStore Eye, a mobile app built from the ground up to help technicians finish their work, eKYC, a React website which allows for staff to search for numbers using ID numbers, and MVA, the flagship mobile app.

I joined Target Energy Solutions as a Backend Trainee, where I learned Golang, as well as how to create and architect Microservices. The traineeship ended with a project that involved creating 5 microservices as part of a development team, and it was a success. They are hosted on AWS and are managed using Docker and Kubernetes.

I joined Valcon as a full stack engineer, working on a web application with a large automotive client in the UK. Mainly working on frontend, as changes had to be made to the app. The main achievement here was being on call for a whole week during the Diwali season, as I was the only one not on holiday from the IT team.

I joined Motorola Solutions UK's Android development team as an intern, where I took the time there to learn about android development, as well as general software engineering, testing, and maintenance. I ended the internship with a project related to migrating the flagship app (CommandCentral Responder) to Kotlin, and as a POC created a small version of the app with 2 APIs written in Kotlin.
