At Concentra, I verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations or referrals before appointments, apply correct CPT codes, and review patient billing statements and insurance claims for accuracy. I also follow payer guidelines, resolve unpaid or denied claims by contacting insurance companies, and set up patient payment plans in line with office policies.

Before that, I worked at Premier Orthopedics handling a high-volume patient account caseload with HIPAA/HITECH and coding compliance, and I negotiated workers’ compensation and account hold issues with attorneys and stakeholders. I’ve also managed claims operations—overseeing a team of claims representatives at Santel-Remote, and previously assisting members and clients with eligibility, benefits, and claims support while maintaining strict HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
