Certified Medical Assistant with 7 years of experience delivering compassionate, coordinated patient care.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Compassionate Certified Medical Assistant with 7 years of experience, focused on delivering excellent patient care. I bring strong communication skills with patients and my healthcare team, so everyone can stay aligned and patients get the best possible support.
As a full-time Certified Medical Assistant, often working up to, or more than, 40 hours a week, I call patients back to the room and record vital signs including weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and oxygen levels. I document patients’ chief complaints, review and update medical history and medications, and make sure each visit is properly prepared.
I perform point of care test work such as urinalysis, hemoglobin, glucose, hemoglobin A1C, PT INR, and pregnancy testing. I collect blood samples, give injections, assist providers and nurses with procedures, and support care by initiating and completing prior authorizations for medications, devices, diagnostic testing, procedures, surgeries, and referrals.
I also handle patient follow-through—calling patients with results, answering messages and returning calls in a timely manner, consulting with providers on questions, and completing and faxing paperwork for FMLA, prior authorizations, referrals, lab/test results, radiology documents, provider notes, and other needed records. I’ve worked remotely with triaging and patient-family instructions, supporting medication refills, surgery medications per protocol, adjustments to treatment plans, and patient education as directed.
