Muthiah Sivavelan

I am a backend and systems engineer with hands-on experience building production pipelines, microservices, and performance-monitoring tooling. My recent internship at Nutanix involved implementing a backend pipeline for a performance dashboard, automating metric collection with Python, ingesting data into InfluxDB, and integrating Grafana for real-time visualization.

I have built containerized Go microservices with Kafka, gRPC, and Consul, developed a Cloud Gallery backend using Node.js and MongoDB, and implemented a high-throughput Redis clone in C/C++ that uses non-blocking I/O and a custom progressive hash map. I also contributed research on hybrid VLC-RF systems using a Stackelberg game-theory framework submitted to IEEE Networking Letters.

I prioritize shipping production-grade code, optimizing performance, and designing reliable systems. I enjoy data-driven problem solving, automating observability, and applying systems knowledge to reduce latency and improve resilience.
