At Pinterest, I architected subscription checkout flows in Ruby on Rails for high-volume commerce transactions, optimizing SQL queries to reduce response times. I refined PostgreSQL data models for global shopping at scale, partnered with frontend teams to integrate microservices for product discovery and account management, and owned Redis caching strategies for stage-based content delivery. I also iterated on Docker container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment velocity without sacrificing quality, championed automated testing across backend services, and mentored engineers on secure, reliable backend practices.

Previously at Meta, I optimized Python backend services for ads platforms by building scalable data models for analytics workflows and maintaining performant queuing systems for real-time business tool updates. I implemented caching layers to reduce latency in critical data retrieval paths, helped raise API development technical standards across service boundaries, and improved CI/CD to support faster iteration while meeting strict security and quality requirements. Earlier at IBM, I built foundational security-domain backend components using Python and SQL for access controls and monitoring, designed microservices with Docker for isolation and fault tolerance, integrated automated testing into development workflows, and tuned backend queries for high-volume security event processing.
