Moses Mosi
@mosesmosi
Investigation Specialist transitioning into cybersecurity—security operations, SIEM, and threat analysis focus.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Investigation Specialist at Amazon with 12 months of hands-on experience in fraud detection, document verification, and compliance. I’m detail-oriented and investigative, with the ability to work through complex cases accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards.
In my current role, I investigate and verify seller documents to detect falsified or fraudulent submissions and ensure compliance with Amazon’s policies and safety standards. I assess the legitimacy of businesses and product listings, monitor financial transactions to identify suspicious patterns, and handle a high-volume workload of 80+ investigation tasks per day. I also collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex fraud cases.
I’m actively building a cybersecurity direction and strengthening my technical foundations across security operations and threat analysis. I work with SIEM platforms (Splunk and QRadar), including concepts like architecture, log ingestion, and alert configuration, and I’m familiar with network security tools such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF (Web Application Firewall), and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response). For analysis and discovery, I use Nmap for network scanning and Wireshark for packet analysis, and I’ve trained with AWS security concepts including IAM, CloudTrail, Security Hub, and GuardDuty. I also study attack techniques through OWASP Top 10 and MITRE ATT&CK and use Python scripting for automation basics.
I’m eager to transition into cybersecurity and contribute in a Security Operations or entry-level cybersecurity role. I’m currently building expertise in SOC Analysis, Network Security, and Cloud Security (AWS), with self-study in SIEM architecture (Splunk & QRadar), MITRE ATT&CK, and OWASP Top 10. I’m preparing for industry certifications like CompTIA Security+ and the AWS Security Specialty, and I want a team where I can learn, grow, and support real-world monitoring and investigations.
