I’m looking for a team where I can support and modernize legacy mainframe systems—owning SDLC, troubleshooting, and system tuning—while delivering reliable service, strong reporting, and continuous improvements under pressure.

In my current freelance consultant role, I supported the Eskom Abnormal Loads System, developing an automated approach for completing abnormal permits by capturing load details and performing the necessary calculations for trailer and trucks. I developed and maintained the solution on the mainframe and supported SDLC processes, specializing in mainframe system-level software and interfaces across various systems.

Across banking and government environments, I’ve focused on application support, troubleshooting, system tuning, data manipulation, routine audits, and backup operations. I’ve worked with platforms like IBM mainframes and AS400/iSeries, using COBOL, SQL, JCL, CICS, DB2/VSAM, and tools such as ChangeMan, Abend-Aid, and SYNCSORT—plus Java/Python when needed—while continually improving legacy systems through fine-tuning and new technology adoption.
