Mohini Anand
@mohinianand
Machine learning researcher focused on self-supervised deep learning for medical image analysis and LLM-powered systems.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Purdue University building self-supervised deep learning methods for high-impact medical imaging tasks. My thesis develops the first self-supervised framework for anatomical clustering of ~100k cardiac tractography streamlines, achieving 20+ anatomically coherent myofiber bundles (DBCV > 0.75) and enabling label-free structural phenotyping of the myocardium.
I also engineer generative and language-driven systems: I built a conditional GAN pipeline for synthetic pancreatic MRI generation (addressing severe domain shifts) and a hierarchical multi-agent LLM framework for automated patient support, integrating Twilio and Deepgram with Ollama to deliver a low-latency voice prototype handling ~90% of inquiries. I care about rigorous evaluation, stable training, and solutions that scale beyond prototypes—so medical workflows benefit from reproducible advances.

Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Developed a first self-supervised framework for anatomical clustering of ~100k cardiac tractography streamlines, achieving 20+ coherent myofiber bundles (DBCV > 0.75). Engineered a conditional GAN for synthetic pancreatic MRI to support IPMN diagnosis under severe domain shift, and built a hierarchical multi-agent LLM system with a low-latency voice interface handling ~90% of patient inquiries aut
Served as Head TA for CS176 (Data Engineering in Python), directing a teaching staff of ~20 TAs and supporting logistical deployment of a newly established curriculum while handling administrative responsibilities alongside TA duties.
Created a preprocessing pipeline for mammograms that optimized quantum filter application, reducing training time for downstream machine learning algorithms.
