What I'm looking for

I seek a research-driven ML role focused on anomaly detection and isotope identification, building production-ready algorithms, collaborating across disciplines, and publishing applied research while applying advanced neural-network and NMF methods.

I am a machine learning scientist focused on developing practical, research-driven algorithms for detection tasks in challenging sensing domains. My work merges applied mathematics with modern deep learning to solve real-world problems.

At Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory I design algorithms for gamma-ray spectroscopic anomaly detection and isotope identification, using non-negative matrix factorization and neural-network methods. I build and benchmark models on Monte-Carlo simulated urban search datasets and emphasize explainability for model predictions.

Previously at Butlr Technologies I researched neural-network methods for object detection in low-resolution time-series thermal images, developed a transformer-based GAN to generate realistic thermal data, and built internal GUIs and a REST API to support labeling and production workflows.

I have authored and contributed to peer-reviewed work on radiological anomaly detection and model explanation, and I bring strong software engineering skills, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a drive to transition research into robust, deployable systems.
