Mohammad Areeb Akhter

At the University of Nottingham, I build and maintain robotics platforms, from Dockerised ROS2 environments used across 32 lab PCs to a locally hosted LLM-powered service robot capable of spoken instructions and open-ended dialogue.

I've integrated multi-sensor human-robot interaction capture for a Unitree Go2 Pro, co-developed and deployed an assisted-living project on a Hello Robot Stretch 3, and manage Linux infrastructure for roughly 40 lab machines with Ansible and custom Debian images.

Previously at Manchester Metropolitan University and Engineering & Environmental Solutions, I supported robotics and AI research, developed ROS codebases for multiple robots, and took ARM-based embedded hardware prototypes from schematic design through firmware and field validation.
