What I'm looking for

I want to keep designing backend and distributed systems that handle real-time scale—especially streaming ingestion, alerting, and production-ready architecture—with teams that value design reviews and clear trade-offs.

I’ve been building and scaling backend services, APIs, and distributed systems for 5+ years, designing microservices in Go, Ruby, Python, and Node.js.

At Luciq (Previously Instabug), I led the full re-architecture of the ingestion flow to support real-time analytics, adopting Flink for the streaming architecture and building stateful pipelines that handled 3GB/s and 300M+ RPM. I also led the alerting system from the ground up for real-time alerts across 20k+ customers, and optimized ClickHouse ingestion to cut backlog spikes from 18 hours to 30–90 minutes.

Before that, at Careem (Uber Inc.) I worked on a feedback-routing service using machine learning to synchronize multiple pipelines and improve resolved-bug metrics by 40%+, and I helped migrate 200+ microservices from Elastic Beanstalk to Kubernetes. Earlier, at Ajna, I built a home-delivery service with 200+ websocket stores and helped migrate store schemas toward a partitioned relational setup.

LI

Backend Engineer 2

Luciq (Previously Instabug)

Mar 2024 - Apr 2025 (1 year 1 month)

Built and maintained large-scale services handling millions of requests per minute, achieved major performance and cost optimizations reducing 800+ pods to around 60 at peak traffic, and mentored junior engineers.

CI

Backend Engineer

Careem (Uber Inc.)

Aug 2023 - Mar 2024 (7 months)

Participated in designing a service that pulls customer feedback and routes it to appropriate teams using machine learning, increasing resolved bugs metrics by over 40%, and migrated over 200 microservices from Elastic Beanstalk to Kubernetes.

AJ

Backend Software Engineer

Ajna

Aug 2021 - Jun 2023 (1 year 10 months)

Implemented a home delivery service maintaining active WebSocket connections with over 200 stores, designed the stores data service for periodic updates, and migrated schemas from monolithic NoSQL to relational database.
