Mohamed Motaz
@mohamedmotaz
Senior backend engineer building real-time ingestion and alerting pipelines at scale.
What I'm looking for
I’ve been building and scaling backend services, APIs, and distributed systems for 5+ years, designing microservices in Go, Ruby, Python, and Node.js.
At Luciq (Previously Instabug), I led the full re-architecture of the ingestion flow to support real-time analytics, adopting Flink for the streaming architecture and building stateful pipelines that handled 3GB/s and 300M+ RPM. I also led the alerting system from the ground up for real-time alerts across 20k+ customers, and optimized ClickHouse ingestion to cut backlog spikes from 18 hours to 30–90 minutes.
Before that, at Careem (Uber Inc.) I worked on a feedback-routing service using machine learning to synchronize multiple pipelines and improve resolved-bug metrics by 40%+, and I helped migrate 200+ microservices from Elastic Beanstalk to Kubernetes. Earlier, at Ajna, I built a home-delivery service with 200+ websocket stores and helped migrate store schemas toward a partitioned relational setup.
