Michele Roman
@micheleroman
Experienced school administrator dedicated to special education excellence.
What I'm looking for
With over 11 years of experience as a school administrator, I have dedicated my career to enhancing the educational experience for students with disabilities. My journey began as a Special Education Teacher, where I designed and implemented curriculum tailored to diverse learning needs. This foundational experience ignited my passion for advocacy and support, leading me to roles where I could influence broader educational policies and practices.
Currently, I serve as the Supervisor of Special Education at Maria L. Varisco-Rogers Charter School, where I actively participate in IEP meetings, manage 504 plans, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and support for our students. My commitment to fostering an inclusive environment is evident through my initiatives, such as establishing counseling sessions and launching the SEPAG committee, which empowers parents and guardians to engage in their children's education.
My educational background, including a Master's in Special Education and Educational Leadership, complements my hands-on experience in the field. I am passionate about continuous improvement and collaboration, striving to create a nurturing and effective learning environment for all students.
