@mhlezishangase
Information Systems & Supply Chain BCom student, driven to use technology and systems thinking to improve operational efficiency.
What I'm looking for
I’m a driven Bachelor of Commerce student specialising in Information Systems & Technology and Supply Chain Management at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I’ve maintained a current average of 71% and received a Dean’s Commendation for academic excellence, and I’m building my capability to turn structured thinking into real business outcomes.
In my recent role as a Residence Registration Assistant (Jan 2026 – Feb 2026), I supported student residence registration processes by ensuring efficient and accurate data handling in a high-volume environment. I provided administrative support, resolved student queries, and maintained organised records while supporting operational coordination during peak registration. Alongside this, I’ve strengthened my people-and-process skills through leadership as Deputy President (2026) and HR Administrator (2025) for the UKZN Tech Society, where I coordinated HR-related functions including communication and member engagement.
I also bring strong organisational leadership from roles such as Chairperson (2026) and Chairperson (2025) for UKZN Choirs and Provincial Treasurer (2024) for the Methodist Students Society, managing budgets, reporting, and accountability for sound governance. Finally, I apply an entrepreneurial mindset through my Founder & Owner role at Avuna Collective, a textile business where I oversee product development, brand growth, production, marketing, and financial management—using supply chain and business principles to drive efficiency and sustainability. I’m passionate about leveraging technology and systems thinking to improve operational efficiency and business performance, with a focus on execution, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
