Mercy Mahenge

I’m a disciplined BSc Wildlife Management graduate with 2+ years’ experience supporting conservation work through high-volume digital record management and technical reporting for TANAPA across 3 national parks. I’ve consistently delivered 100% accurate data entry of wildlife sightings, GPS logs, and ecological survey forms despite remote field conditions and intermittent internet.

In my current role, I manage digital documentation for biodiversity surveys, camera trap data, and patrol reports—organizing files and safeguarding data integrity for 5+ senior scientists and park management. I also coordinate operations remotely with 15+ rangers, community leaders, and researchers using phone, email, and WhatsApp, while handling confidential anti-poaching information with strict discretion.

I built strong research and writing depth through my undergraduate thesis on assessing Human-Wildlife Conflict (HWC) mitigation strategies around Arusha National Park. I conducted independent mixed-methods research with 120+ household surveys and other fieldwork, analyzed the results in MS Excel, authored a 55-page thesis, and defended my findings before an academic panel.
