Philemon Sandi

I am a tourism and hospitality graduate with practical experience in guest services, guiding, conservation support, and field data collection. I combine frontline visitor-facing roles with back-office tasks like documentation, marketing materials, and logistics.

At Kilimanjaro National Park I supported visitor briefings, permit checks, porter and guide inspections, and produced informational materials to improve visitor experience. I have also worked as a local tour guide and waiter, organizing transport, camps, and daily guest services while building partnerships with local businesses.

As a data collector and translator with CEREDEV, I conducted interviews and surveys, compiled and analyzed data using SPSS and spreadsheets, and produced reports and charts to identify trends. I troubleshoot field challenges and help develop data collection protocols to ensure accuracy and compliance.

I bring strong communication, intercultural competency, GIS/remote sensing familiarity, marketing and customer-service strengths, and a commitment to teamwork and continuous learning to roles in tourism, conservation, and research-focused organizations.
