What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a field-and-data role in wildlife conservation where I can lead elephant ecology and ecosystem monitoring using mobile data tools, drive evidence-based human-wildlife coexistence work, and keep mentoring teams through training and capacity building.

I’m a dedicated conservationist with hands-on experience in applied ecology, wildlife research, and ecosystem management. I have over three years of field experience in elephant ecology and ecological monitoring, and human-wildlife co-existence initiatives across Tanzania, and I’m currently a Researcher at the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI) since December 2024.

I supported research and development across multiple conservation projects, coordinating conservation activities that strengthen both field outcomes and people. I conduct wildlife research, including wildlife census and wildlife monitoring, and I focus on disseminating scientific information while building long-term capacity through education and awareness programs.

In my previous roles as an Elephant Researcher (2021–2023), I coordinated and conducted field research in the Ruaha-Rungwa ecosystem, monitoring and evaluating projects while delivering conservation education to communities. I also supported development of mitigation measures to reduce human-elephant conflict, and handled data processing, analysis, and reporting.

I bring a strong quality-data mindset and use advanced technology tools for data collection such as ODK, KOBOTOOLBOX, and Survey123, alongside tools like R, QGIS, and Microsoft Excel. I’m also experienced in camera trapping and VHF and LoRa tags tracking, and I enjoy mentoring early-career practitioners through programs like Women in Conservation Technology.
