At OQ Refineries & Petroleum Industries LLC, I serve as Team Lead Electrical Engineering and Technical Authority (TA2) for downstream assets. I oversee engineering assurance and project delivery, and review power-system studies including load flow, short circuit, transient analysis, and relay coordination.
I conceptualized and implemented a new operating philosophy for Sohar Refinery Complex without hardware changes, improving plant reliability and avoiding costs in the event of a grid disturbance. The project was named a Grand Winner Project of the Year 2023.
In 2024, I helped commission a 10 MW, 6.6 kV motor as an alternative to a failed motor affecting plant operations. I also led OQ RPI’s Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization technical seminar, which brought 21 new technologies forward as business cases.
Earlier at OQ RPI, I worked in contracts management and maintenance; my maintenance work included leading the 132 kV power integration project for ORPIC's Aromatics Plant, named Project of the Year 2016. At Bharat Oman Refineries Limited, I worked in O&M and commissioned a 53+21 MW DG rental power project supporting refinery start-ups and operations.
