Martin Gil

At Kounkuey Design Initiative, I've led community engagement across the Eastern Coachella Valley, training resident leaders for the Shade Master Plan and supporting 33 workshops that engaged 146 residents to advance shade equity recommendations. I've also managed a $30,000 California State Parks grant that engaged more than 50 youth and mentored four young adult leaders.

I've coordinated partners, public agencies, volunteers, logistics, reporting, and bilingual outreach for planning and environmental justice efforts. My background in campaign organizing and dispatch operations helps me build trust across diverse communities, solve problems under pressure, and deliver complex work in English and Spanish.
