Dedicated educator with expertise in curriculum development and SEL.
What I'm looking for
I am a passionate educator with over five years of experience in curriculum development and teaching. My journey began with a commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments, where I have successfully aligned educational programs with state standards and city initiatives. My work at P.S. 86 has been particularly rewarding, as I piloted a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program that garnered recognition from the Superintendent and multiple principals for its effectiveness.
Throughout my career, I have taken on various roles that emphasize my dedication to student success and teacher development. As a Teacher of Record with Teach For America, I provided essential support to Corps Members, helping them refine their lesson planning and instructional strategies. My experience extends to leading professional development workshops and engaging parents in the educational process, ensuring a holistic approach to student learning.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have a strong background in administrative support and community engagement. My roles as an Executive Assistant and Youth Leader have equipped me with the skills to manage operations effectively while advocating for youth health education. I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth, as evidenced by my recent certifications in Dyslexia Training and Data Privacy.
