What I'm looking for

I am seeking roles that combine language teaching, curriculum development, and program coordination in culturally responsive educational environments with opportunities for research-informed impact.

I am a linguist and experienced ESL instructor with an MA in Linguistics from Cornell University and a strong background in phonology, morphology, syntax, and language attitudes research. My graduate thesis examined Quechua language use and attitudes in Cusco, Peru.

Since 2020 I have taught intermediate and advanced English in online, hybrid, and in-person formats, designed teacher training for high-stakes exam writing, and translated content for local government applications. I combine language research skills with practical classroom curriculum design.

Earlier roles include residence hall director at Cornell, where I supervised student staff, managed a $22,000 budget, led Title IX training, and provided crisis intervention and student support. I have also coordinated mentoring programs and facilitated bystander-intervention and compliance workshops.

I bring advanced Spanish communication skills, familiarity with basic NLP techniques, and introductory programming knowledge (Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to complement my pedagogical and administrative strengths. I aim to apply my research-informed approach to language teaching and program development in culturally responsive settings.
