At Transparency Maldives, I lead governance team projects on anti-corruption, human rights, and civic education. I also design advocacy and awareness campaigns and coordinate with civil society, government agencies, and international partners.
At the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), I coordinated activities for the “Strong and Inclusive Maldivian Democracy” project and supported civic education initiatives with the Elections Commission. I represented IFES in national advisory committees for elections and organized public events, workshops, and training sessions.
At the International Organization for Migration (IOM), UN, I assisted with counter-trafficking activities in the Maldives and supported liaison, translation, documentation, and reporting. Earlier, at the Anti-Corruption Commission of Maldives, I investigated corruption cases, collected evidence, conducted interviews, and drafted case reports.
My research includes “Push and Pull Factors of Violent Extremism in Maldives,” for which I was a consultant to Villa College, and a master’s thesis on managing returning terrorists in the UK, Germany, and Maldives. I hold a Master of Laws in International Relations from China Foreign Affairs University and a Bachelor of Shariah and Law from Maldives National University.
