Marina Doyle - Marvin

As a full-time faculty APP, I am responsible for identifying, assessing, planning, and coordinating services for oncology patients at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Cancer Center. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, evidence-based care, and actively participate in research and educational initiatives to advance breast cancer treatment and prevention.

As the Founder and Facilitator of the UCHealth inaugural Highlands Ranch Hospital and South Metro Denver Breast Cancer Support Group, I oversee virtual and in-person meetings. Our group provides a safe and compassionate space for all breast cancer patients, offering support, information, and community connections.

As the Founder and Facilitator of the Breast Cancer Support Group, I oversaw virtual and in-person meetings for the south metro Denver area. I also founded and facilitated a pilot male partners of breast cancer Support Group, providing a dedicated environment for male caregivers.

I provided comprehensive support to patients throughout their cancer journey, educating them about breast cancer treatment options and clinical trials. My responsibilities included coordinating office visits, facilitating communication among healthcare teams, and organizing multidisciplinary team conferences.

As Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the ICU, I served as a nurse leader and mentor for 45 FTEs, with added leadership roles in various committees. I also worked as an ICU RN, focusing on medical/surgical, CV Surgery, and Neurological patients with pulmonary complications.

I was responsible for hospital flow, managing admissions, and staffing departments. As Assistant Nurse Manager, I led the merger of our intermittent step-down care unit (IMC) into the critical care department, successfully cross-training IMC staff in ICU patient care.

I was involved in developing and improving the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program, which achieved FACT accreditation in 2008. My role included being a Charge RN for the BMT outpatient infusion center, Apheresis Dept., BMT coordinators, and the outpatient BMT MD clinic.

I served as Mega Charge RN for two BMT units with ICU capability and an Oncology unit. My responsibilities included overseeing patient care and unit operations across these specialized departments.

I worked as a Travel RN in Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant facilities across various locations. This involved adapting to different hospital environments and providing specialized nursing care to diverse patient populations.

As Harvest/Apheresis Coordinator, I coordinated the mobilization process for peripheral stem cell harvest collections for transplant patients. I also served as Extracorporeal Photopheresis (ECP) Coordinator, responsible for coordinating ECP patient care and developing comprehensive documentation tools.

As Patient Care Coordinator, I shared clinical knowledge, educated patients and families, and acted as a role model and resource for peers. I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to improve quality and cost outcomes, and rounded daily with the medical team as a nurse liaison.

As Interim Clinical Nurse Manager, I managed a 30-bed inpatient unit with seventy-eight staff employees. I facilitated the implementation of committee decisions, participated in quality improvement activities, and developed a Mentorship Program to broaden novice nurses' knowledge base.

I encouraged professional accountability, functioned as a role model, and served as a resource for peers in clinical problem-solving. I facilitated patient flow, analyzed daily patterns, and coordinated staffing and scheduling needs on a shift-to-shift basis.

I was granted Allied Health Professional Privileges and was responsible for Physician's inpatient care, primarily for Hematology/Oncology/Stem cell Transplant and Immunotherapy patients. I also managed outpatient follow-up for these patients.

As a Staff Nurse and Charge Nurse in the Hematology/Oncology/BMT Unit, I was responsible for patient care on a 24-bed inpatient unit. My duties included direct patient care, unit coordination, and ensuring quality outcomes.

Completed a comprehensive nursing program, earning a Registered General Nurse (RGN) degree. This foundational education provided essential skills and knowledge for general nursing practice.

Grade: 3.5 GPA

Achieved a combined Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. This advanced degree focused on comprehensive patient care and leadership in nursing.
