Marie Punsalan

I’m a registered Pharmacist in the Philippines and currently a Pharmacy Technician (Intern Pharmacist) in New Zealand, supporting safe, accurate medication use across daily pharmacy operations. I focus on prescription dispensing, medication reconciliation, non-sterile and chemotherapeutic compounding, vaccination services, and long-term care medication management.

At Stratford Pharmacy, I dispense prescriptions according to New Zealand standards using TONIQ, prepare dose administration aids to support patient adherence, and assist with non-sterile compounding. I also manage and update Long-Term Care (LTC) patient medication records, oversee cold chain management and vaccine storage compliance, and provide professional customer service.

Before that, I supported clinical workflows and documentation as a fully remote Healthcare Assistant, performing medical scribing, maintaining Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and processing medication refill requests. Earlier hospital experience included clinical pharmacy work, inpatient and outpatient dispensing, ICU/NICU medication reconciliation, preparation of anesthesia kits, and sterile compounding—including preparation of chemotherapeutic drugs.

I bring strong operational leadership from my pharmacist/pharmacy manager experience, where I trained staff, maintained overall pharmacy operations, assisted with preparation and dispensing, and delivered pharmacy-only medicine counseling. I take confidentiality and professional ethics seriously, and I’m committed to continuous learning through ongoing pharmacy legislation coursework and relevant certifications.
