At SyNoesis Therapeutics, I work as a Scientific Advisor. My research background spans molecular biology, biochemistry, and protein and nucleic acid research in ageing, DNA damage repair, and cancer biology.
At Neotis Bio, I founded and led a project developing therapeutics for age-related degenerative disease, applying molecular glues to augment autophagic pathways. I took the project from concept to funded incubator selection.
At Erasmus MC, I studied how DNA damage contributes to ageing and cancer using fluorescent-reporter stem cells and organoids from repair-deficient mouse models. I developed organoid and 3D-culture assays and integrated imaging results with genome sequencing and mutational data.
Earlier, at the Institute of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, I investigated inflammatory signaling and cell-adhesion pathways in cancer, and contributed to biochemical and structural research on translocase proteins. My work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Aging Cell and Genome Research.
