@mariaalfaro
I’m a bilingual CDCES delivering high-impact diabetes education and behavior change.
What I'm looking for
I’m a bilingual Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) focused on identifying and managing high-risk patients and improving patient outcomes through education, follow-up, and real-world diabetes support. In my current remote role with StabilityHealth, I monitor patient progress, escalate as needed to our Diabetologist team, and update providers on needs for better outcomes.
Previously, as a Bilingual Quality Assurance Specialist (Remote) at PackHealth (A Quest Diagnostics Company), I monitored the clinical quality of diabetes health coaching in English and Spanish. I provided feedback and one-on-one mentorship to board-certified health coaches, presented clinical data and patient case studies to clients, and audited clinical and pharmaceutical compliance across programs.
Earlier, I worked as an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian / Diabetes Educator at Cheshire Medical Center, supporting people with diabetes after new diagnoses. I reviewed patient glucose data, used MNT to improve outcomes, aligned nutrition education with the care team’s treatment goals, and collaborated daily with an interdisciplinary team—strengths I continue to bring to diabetes device onboarding, diabetes training development, and culturally competent patient care.
