What I'm looking for

I’m looking to continue trauma-informed immigration and family-law advocacy for survivors—handling asylum/relief and related petitions while building safer, culturally responsive client support through partnerships and education.

I’m an Associate Attorney licensed in Indiana (admitted Oct. 2023), committed to trauma-informed, cross-cultural empowerment and advocacy. With a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law (May 2023) and advocacy-focused training, I bring both strong legal writing skills and a client-first approach to high-stakes immigration matters.

At Hocker Law LLC, I represent clients in EOIR proceedings, handling both Master and Individual Hearings, including successful asylum and defensive AOS cases. I draft and file BIA Notice to Appeal statements and full briefs, prepare family-based petitions, and pursue humanitarian relief such as U-Visa, VAWA, T-Visa, and affirmative asylum—along with SIJS predicate orders, RFE/NOID/civil fine responses, motions, and legal research.

Previously, as Staff Attorney & Manager of Legal Services at The Julian Center (Jun 2024–Feb 2025), I built and grew a direct legal service program for domestic violence survivors as the sole staff attorney. I provided pro bono consultations and representation across family law, immigration, protection orders, small claims, and housing issues, and I developed in-house educational materials and community education trainings through legal partnerships and grant opportunities.

My work is grounded in service and advocacy: I’ve supported Title IX processes as a complainant advisor, served as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Guardian ad Litem volunteer, and completed pro bono immigration work including U-Visa and VAWA support during asylum-related clinics. I also have experience in document review using Relativity and French legal translation (ALTA-certified), and I continue to pair rigorous analysis with crisis-informed, safety-focused practice.
