What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can draft persuasive immigration declarations and coordinate FOIA/records work, using bilingual, trauma-informed interviewing and careful case organization to support complex humanitarian and removal-related matters.

I’m a bilingual immigration professional with 5+ years of experience supporting clients in legal, humanitarian, and service-based roles. I focus on declaration writing and FOIA/records coordination, helping transform complex personal histories into clear, legally persuasive documents.

Across immigration cases, I support attorneys with end-to-end case management—client intake, document requests, legal document preparation, and filing packets. I draft and organize immigration forms, affidavits, declarations, cover letters, exhibits, and case summaries, while monitoring activity through USCIS, EOIR, CEAC, NVC, and other agency portals.

In my declaration and interview work, I conduct trauma-informed interviews in English and Spanish to gather detailed testimony and ensure each statement aligns with case strategy and evidentiary standards. I also handle highly sensitive information with discretion, empathy, and consistency across filings.

For FOIA matters, I coordinate and submit requests across USCIS, DOS, EOIR, CBP, and OBIM, research criminal records, maintain accurate tracking in Docketwise, and prepare FOIA appeals for no-records or agency noncompliance responses. I’ve also supported high-volume final reviews and helped reduce a department backlog from approximately 1,800 to 700 cases.
