Marco Montagna

I’m a Software Engineering student with hands-on backend development experience, focused on process automation and systems integration. I’m currently interning at Gingalabs, building automation workflows, REST APIs, and low-code applications with n8n, Node.js, PostgreSQL, WeWeb, and Xano.

In my internship, I designed and maintained automation workflows in n8n using webhooks, Cron jobs, conditional logic, loops, and error-handling. I monitored production executions and resolved failures to improve reliability, and I integrated internal and third-party systems via REST APIs by mapping JSON payloads between platforms.

I also developed Node.js/JavaScript scripts for data transformation, validation, and payload formatting inside automation pipelines. On the application side, I built and maintained WeWeb (frontend) and Xano (backend) work, covering data modeling, authentication flows, business logic, and centralized customer communication with Chatwoot.

I strengthen my backend and integration work with SQL and research-driven distributed systems learning—writing PostgreSQL/MySQL queries for automated persistence and retrieval, and investigating RabbitMQ versus Apache Kafka through performance benchmarking. I value scalable integrations, clean documentation, and practical automation that holds up under real-world conditions.
