Mathias Kauffmann

I’m a back-end developer with a strong foundation building scalable, high-performance server-side applications using Java. I specialize in designing and implementing microservices architectures that improve modularity, resilience, and efficient deployment, with a current focus on Java-based ecosystems and delivering cloud-ready solutions.

From February 2023 to November 2025 at Dell, I served as a development lead for backend initiatives, guiding technical decisions and mentoring team members. I led Java-based microservices development, collaborated with business stakeholders to align requirements with strategic goals, and implemented CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and improve delivery speed. I also worked with enterprise performance metrics—enhancing application functionality to meet 100% of the targets—and created and documented database procedures to ensure consistency, performance, and compliance while supporting vendor-integrated finance applications.

Earlier, as an Entry Software Engineer (February 2022 to February 2023), I contributed to backend development across enterprise applications, designed and maintained relational database tables, and developed comprehensive unit tests to ensure reliability. Before that, I worked as a Backend Intern, building Java features for enterprise finance applications, partnering with a system architect to implement microservices using modular development, and supporting ongoing maintenance by fixing issues and improving backend systems.
