In my Virtualization & Monitoring Lab MSc dissertation, I built a Hyper-V environment on Windows 11 Pro with Kali Linux and Ubuntu Server virtual machines. I installed Splunk Enterprise and its Universal Forwarder, fixed a Windows Firewall rule blocking port 9997, and configured alerts for repeated failed SSH logins.
For my AWS cloud hosting coursework, I moved an on-premise web hosting scenario to AWS. I configured IAM permissions, an EC2 instance running Apache, an Application Load Balancer, an Auto Scaling Group, and CloudWatch monitoring.
My hands-on work covers Windows and Linux system installation and configuration, networking, and identity management with Microsoft Entra ID. I also practice Linux and Windows fundamentals, networking, and SOC skills through TryHackMe.
At The Web Internet Café, I kept workstations and the local network running during service hours, restarting or reconfiguring systems when they failed. My two years of customer-facing work also taught me to explain products clearly to a wide range of people. I'm seeking an IT support or junior systems role.
