What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can apply biomedical design engineering, QMS documentation, and data analysis to improve medical device processes. I want to collaborate with customers and suppliers, develop my technical writing, and keep building continuous improvement skills.

I’m a Biomedical Design Engineer and Biomedical Science (Physiology) graduate, co-author of a published research paper on whether point-of-care bioimpedance analysis can help prevent osteoporotic fractures. I bring analytical and organisational strengths alongside clear, communicative delivery—built through both university work and hands-on employment.

My BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science (University of Galway) culminated in a final-year project exploring bioimpedance analysis for osteoporosis risk assessment. I also completed a semester abroad at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA), strengthening my adaptability and international communication.

In my current role as a Design Engineer with ICS Medical Devices, I create and review specifications and manufacturing documentation aligned with QMS requirements for design freeze and design verification builds. I support procurement and stock control via live BOM, produce technical reports (including R&D Tax Credit documentation), and apply manufacturing processes such as welding and reflow—while implementing Companion V4 QMS across the company.

Beyond engineering, I’ve taught ESL through MyES, delivering in-person and online classes for students of all abilities while encouraging maximal student talk time. I also compile and analyse data using IBM SPSS and GraphPad Prism, and I’ve developed leadership through LIFT Ireland and train-the-trainer style workshops—so I’m ready to collaborate, document clearly, and drive continuous improvement.
