What I'm looking for

I’m a junior developer looking for remote freelance contracts or part-time work. I do best on projects with real users and real problems, and I’m comfortable taking backend, frontend, DevOps, or full-stack roles while learning honestly.

I’m a junior full-stack software and DevOps engineer based in Malawi, currently studying Computer Science while building real systems for real clients. I’ve delivered two paid freelance projects for Malawian businesses—building production-ready experiences that help users solve everyday problems.

On the product side, I’ve worked across backend and APIs with TypeScript, NestJS, Node.js, and FastAPI, and across frontend with React and Next.js using Tailwind CSS. For VELORI Finances, I designed and built the complete web application, including loan flows, frontend-backend integration, and scalable role-based access control—processing over 100 loan applications.

On the DevOps side, I’m hands-on with Docker, Jenkins CI/CD, Terraform, and Kubernetes (in progress). I’ve worked with AWS services like EC2 and ECR, plus Ansible and Linux-based environments to support consistent deployments and infrastructure provisioning.

I also build deeper technical projects, like EduVibe—a microservices-based learning management system with multiple NestJS services, JWT auth, and a Jenkinsfile-driven CI/CD workflow. I’m eager to grow through challenging remote work, especially in teams that value real problems, honest feedback, and continuous learning.

Designed and built a fintech loan platform for Velori Investments using React/Next.js (Tailwind) and a Node/NestJS backend with TypeORM, delivering JWT authentication and role-based access control. Implemented loan categories and estimator flows; processed 100+ loan applications and served clients across Malawi.

Built a responsive web platform for an agricultural trade business to list produce, manage trade offerings, and connect buyers and suppliers. Delivered frontend and backend support alongside Docker, Jenkins CI/CD, and AWS deployment infrastructure (EC2/ECR).
