Lucas Moreno

I’m a Software Engineer with 4+ years of experience building production software for international clients in the United States and the United Kingdom, working across mobile and backend systems.

Currently working on a large-scale residential energy management product built with React Native, Expo, and TypeScript. Alongside hands-on development of complex and high-priority features, I have taken on a technical leadership role within the project, contributing to architecture and engineering decisions, conducting code reviews, supporting other engineers, and helping establish implementation patterns and development standards. I work closely with design, product stakeholders, and clients, participating in the definition of user flows and product decisions before they reach implementation.

I enjoy operating at the intersection of engineering and product, turning business and UX requirements into maintainable technical solutions. My background also includes backend engineering with Python, Django, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, Docker, and AWS. I have worked on systems involving data automation, ETL pipelines, asynchronous processing, web scraping, search infrastructure, OCR, and machine learning workloads deployed to production. Across my projects, I’ve consistently taken ownership of complex problems, architecture decisions, and technical delivery while working in distributed, international teams.
