I've spent over 20 years shaping trade and educational publishing across southern Africa, including senior publishing roles at Shuter & Shooter and Longman Zimbabwe.
At Shuter & Shooter, I led Intermediate and Senior Phase educational portfolios, commissioned market-led titles, and managed authors, illustrators, editors, designers, budgets, and production schedules. I also mentored three junior publishers who progressed into mid-level editorial roles.
As a freelance publishing consultant, I manage end-to-end projects and provide content editing, copy-editing, proofreading, and professional training across educational and trade publishing.
I've also designed and taught postgraduate publishing courses at the University of the Witwatersrand, supervised more than 50 Honours and Masters research projects, and completed a PhD in Publishing Studies.
