What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can lead engaging Pre-K learning, maintain positive routines, and collaborate closely with families and staff. I want a supportive environment that values clear communication, structure, and growth.

I have been in the education space for the better part of 15 years mostly as a teacher’s assistant in a high school setting and later assisting pre-k classrooms. I enjoy being helpful and collaborative on projects. Throughout my years, I find that communication has been my biggest strength when it comes to my day-to-day routine. I have had to be in constant contact with parents, administration, and co-workers for any reasons that may arise during my day.

I am a crafty person and being in the preschool setting has allowed me to express myself creatively and be independent in choosing which projects to complete. This has also allowed me the ability to be able to adapt if I found that the execution of a project didn’t turn out how I thought it would. Additionally, I have been able to adjust expectations according to how my class reacted to any new introductions to our classroom routine.

My goal is to be a great asset to a company regardless of what that looks like. I like to be productive and am capable of learning new things.

I am a mother to 2 children and would love to be as available to them as I need to be. They are 10 and 6 and both in public school, so the ability to be home while they are sick and still be able to work is very important to me. It would also be beneficial for me to be able to attend their extracurricular activities.
