Lindiwe Thembani

I’m a dedicated people-support professional with over 7 years of experience in social work, community engagement, crisis support, and client care within government and NGO environments. I’m skilled in supporting vulnerable individuals, managing complex cases, resolving conflict, coordinating services, and maintaining high standards in high-pressure, customer-facing settings.

Most recently, as an Adoption Social Worker at Wandisa Child Protection NPC (Apr 2025 – Apr 2026, contract ended), I provided direct support during sensitive placement processes, coordinated services between legal, health, and social service professionals, and maintained detailed records, reports, and compliance documentation. Before that, as a Child Protection Social Worker for the Department of Social Development (Jan 2021 – Dec 2024), I supported vulnerable families through assessment, intervention, and referral services while coordinating stakeholders across schools, healthcare facilities, SAPS, and community organisations.

Earlier experience as a Substance Abuse Social Worker & VEP Facilitator (2019–2020) strengthened my ability to facilitate group support programmes, deliver counselling and emotional support, and run awareness and community engagement activities. I bring strong communication and multicultural engagement to guest services and passenger welfare, with added administration strength in report writing, record keeping, and MS Office tools.
