Amy Rensburg

I completed my Honors degree in Social Work from NMU and have volunteered in various settings, gaining valuable experiences. I facilitated a group of first-time offenders at NICRO and assisted at YMCA on a leadership camp. I also worked with physically and mentally disabled adults at Cheshire Disability home and volunteered at Than'dusana, a safe haven for abused and orphan babies. At Woolhope High School, I served as a counselor, addressing issues such as substance use, behavioral problems, and bullying.

Currently, I am a child protection social worker, office manager, and program manager at ACVV PE Sentraal/Kamvalethu Drop In Centre. I oversee a team of 9 staff/students and ensure the smooth running of the organization. My goal is to help each client leave our office hopeful and motivated. I am also responsible for two child care workers and 57 children attending our Drop In Centre, managing day-to-day activities, organizing events, and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams.

I am seeking new opportunities and challenges to further develop my skills and broaden my knowledge. I am dedicated to making a positive impact and am excited to explore different environments where I can utilize my abilities.
