Lea Selman

I’m a Nutrition and Dietetics student at Notre Dame University (NDU), driven by improving both public and individual health through evidence-based nutrition. I focus on measurable outcomes—especially through patient counseling, diet planning, and health education.

In my clinical shadowing and internship experience, I supported over 30 patients weekly during nutrition consultations and helped create 15 personalized diet and menu plans for chronic health conditions. I also contributed to a 15% improvement in patient adherence through targeted counseling and progress monitoring, while learning to interpret basic biochemical indicators and perform body composition assessments under supervision.

I extend my work beyond the clinic through projects and community initiatives. I helped deliver 10+ personalized meal plans and supported nutrition education sessions for 50+ participants, and I worked on food safety by conducting 10+ restaurant hygiene inspections—helping improve hygiene ratings by 20%.
