Leah Morton

I am an elementary educator with experience teaching in public schools and designing curriculum that supports student learning and development. I hold a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies and an M.S. in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University.

My classroom work includes teaching at Rena B. Wright Primary and Suburban Park Elementary, where I delivered culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate instruction. I also supported district initiatives as a math curriculum writer for Chesapeake Public Schools.

Outside the classroom I have experience as a summer camp specialist with the YMCA, creating specialty instruction and activities aligned with organizational values. I bring strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, flexibility, and a disciplined work ethic to collaborative school environments.

I am committed to fostering inclusive learning spaces and contributing to curriculum development that improves student outcomes and teacher collaboration.
