Lawrence Pointer

I’m a motivated, detail-oriented professional with experience in recreation programming, youth engagement, and community-based services. In my current role as a Recreation & Park Sports Aide, I help plan and run programs for youth, adults, and seniors while promoting events through outreach in the community.

I take safety and service seriously—I monitor participant safety, enforce rules, and maintain a positive, organized environment. I also deliver high-quality customer service to participants and families, and I track attendance and gather feedback to support program evaluation.

Before that, I strengthened my reliability and attention to process as an Amazon Associate, collaborating with team members to meet productivity targets and following strict safety procedures. I also interned with Dayton Probation Services, where I observed probation meetings, assisted with client guideline documentation, and conducted supervised drug screenings in compliance with procedures.

Beyond day-to-day work, I’ve led teams through volunteer and student leadership roles, including Chapter President and Treasurer. With certifications in Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), CPR, and KnowBe4 Cybersecurity Awareness Training, I’m committed to safe, people-first support and I’m eager to keep growing in criminal justice and public service.
