What I'm looking for

I seek a research or clinical laboratory role that advances human microbiome, cancer, and molecular research, as well as translational diagnostics, within collaborative, growth-oriented teams.

I am a medical laboratory scientist with a BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Ghana and research experience at WACCBIP. I specialize in molecular techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, ELISA, and gel electrophoresis, and I analyze data using GraphPad Prism, IBM SPSS, and Microsoft Excel.

My student-led thesis investigated serum bacterial DNAemia and metabolic syndrome in colorectal cancer patients, showing elevated bacterial DNA concentrations and associations with metabolic risk factors. I have led and contributed to projects on oxidative stress, inflammatory markers, and soluble E-cadherin in colorectal cancer, and I present findings at institutional conferences.

I am driven to become a researcher and developer in microbiome science and drug discovery, leveraging leadership experience from academic and community roles and practical hospital laboratory work, including bacteriology, hematology, serology, and GeneXpert testing and biotechnology.
