I’m a Cyber Security Officer and Deputy Chief Information Security Officer with over 20 years in information technology, focused on protecting enterprise systems through proactive threat detection, incident response, and security operations. I investigate and mitigate sophisticated cyber threats—especially phishing campaigns, business email compromise (BEC), identity compromise, and malware—across cloud and on-premise environments.
I bring practical security operations expertise using SIEM, XDR, EDR, NDR, and threat intelligence to detect anomalous behavior, perform threat hunting, and improve cyber resilience. I also develop security policies and controls aligned with NIST and ISO/IEC 27001, and support governance and regulatory compliance for environments including HIPAA, HITECH, GLBA, PCI DSS, SOX, and FERPA.
In my current role, I lead cybersecurity components for the “Strengthening Public Expenditure Management in Belize Project (BL-L1038),” and I coordinate security meetings, management reviews, audit follow-through, corrective actions, and risk treatment plans. I’m also a risk management team leader—coordinating risk assessments and vulnerability scans—and I partner with development and infrastructure teams to guide secure approaches that enable digital transformation.
