Kaye Freeman

I’m an educator who builds strong learning outcomes by pairing clear instruction with individualized support for students and the families who help them succeed. In my roles, I’ve led lesson planning, teaching, grading, and ongoing progress tracking to keep students moving forward.

Most recently, I served as a Teacher at Epic Charter Schools (August 2020 to October 2024), where I conducted Individualized Learning Plans with students and families, prepared English assignments for high schoolers, taught virtually, and completed progress reports while communicating regularly with families.

Before that, I was a G.E.D./H.S.E. Instructor with EMJJ Enterprises through Tulsa Tech’s Lemley Campus (July 2019 to August 2020). Working in the TANF Program, I prepared single moms and dads on government assistance to pass each subject area of the 2014 G.E.D. Exam through instruction in organizational skills, math, grammar, writing, reading, social studies, and science.

I also taught GED/GED-related adult education as a G.E.D. Instructor with Union Public Schools, and I’ve consistently improved results—earning the second highest number of graduates in the TANF program in Oklahoma in 2017-18, and seeing graduation numbers rise again in 2018-19. Alongside teaching, I bring a communications-focused approach shaped by earlier work as a Communications Specialist, where I served as a liaison between owners and parents, reviewed placement/achievement testing, and supported student plan adjustments based on progress.
