What I'm looking for

I seek a role that allows me to foster student growth and creativity in a supportive environment.

I am a dedicated English Language Arts Teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a minor in Education from the University of West Florida. My teaching journey began in 2004, and I have since developed a strong foundation in education, specializing in working with at-risk youth. Currently, I serve as a Team Lead for grades 6-12 at Escambia County School District, where I focus on fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and effective communication.

Throughout my career, I have honed my organizational skills and excelled in handling difficult situations, ensuring that all students receive the guidance they need to succeed. My experience includes teaching at various educational institutions, including the Santa Rosa Correctional Facility, where I helped incarcerated individuals obtain their high school diplomas. I pride myself on my ability to create engaging lesson plans and develop techniques that enhance essay writing and public speaking skills among my students.
