I've architected Fortune 50 retail fulfillment platforms at Target for 13+ years, modernizing store operations across 1,400+ locations with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.

As Senior Engineering Manager and Platform Architect, I defined architecture for workload creation, batching, prioritization, and routing services. My Location-Based Batching rollout reduced route distance per item by more than 10% and delivered over $2M in hard savings, while broader initiatives generated $40M+ in documented operational savings from 2023–2025.

I led the migration from Manhattan WMS to custom microservices, using the Strangler Facade pattern to replace legacy capabilities without disrupting tier-1 operations. I also took Ship From Store from proof of concept to chain-scale deployment and founded an engineering team that delivered shared Pack & Ship capabilities across store and distribution-center operations.

I'm focused on architecture that teams can build from: clear domain boundaries, configuration-driven design, resilient integrations, observability, capacity planning, and practical technical trade-offs. I've built teams, coached engineers into architecture ownership, and applied AI through RAG assistants, AI-assisted code review, and automated test-suite migration.
