@julijasemionova
Neuroscience researcher skilled in experimental neurobiology and scientific communication.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated neuroscience researcher with hands-on experience in neurophysiology, immunohistochemistry, and imaging techniques, complemented by strong writing and editing experience across academic topics. I earned a 2:1 in Clinical and Cognitive Psychology and am completing a Master’s in Neuroscience, with practical lab work focused on Drosophila optogenetics, electrophysiology, and confocal image analysis.
In laboratory roles I prepared data for analysis, performed brain and VNC dissections, ran patch-clamp and hook-electrode recordings, and used techniques including Western blot, Bradford assays, immunofluorescence staining, GFP/MCFO methods, and Fiji for image analysis. I have experience handling quantitative analysis tools such as SPSS, R Studio, and MatLab.
I also bring strong written communication skills from freelance academic writing and experience resolving complex customer issues in a high-pressure, team-oriented role. I am resilient, reliable, and motivated to contribute to research-oriented teams that value rigorous experimentation and clear scientific communication.
