What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a fast-paced sports newsroom where I can lead coverage, write and edit at a high standard, and expand multimedia storytelling. I want a team that values ethical journalism, growth feedback, and community connection.

I’m a sports journalist and editor focused on producing reliable, ethical storytelling under tight deadlines. I bring a strong sports communication foundation, including a 4.0 GPA and a double major in Sports Journalism and Sports Communication.

In newsroom leadership roles, I’ve written and produced 4–6 pieces daily while managing multiple projects at once. As Kentucky Kernel Sports Editor, I led a growing 40+ person staff, coached writers through one-on-one meetings, and edited work across all experience levels—while staying responsive to advisor feedback and maintaining high-quality output (100+ pieces on deadline).

I also build audience and coverage through multimedia and community engagement, creating stand-ups, podcast-style game breakdowns, and social content for Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. I’m comfortable reporting live from games, gathering information from sources, handling ethical and personal conflicts with integrity, and marketing the outlet at events like career fairs and speaking visits.
